 UNIGIS Professional

 

Overview
UNIGIS professional diploma is designed to provide an understanding of GISystems (GIS) as well as develop and improve application-oriented skills. The course addresses those who have some background in a spatial discipline and/or are already engaged in GIS related jobs.

Format
This is an in-service online distance learning diploma course leading to an academic qualification. The programme is designed to be completed in one year with a weekly workload of minimum 12-15 hours.
A total of 60 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) points are required for completing UNIGIS Professional diploma. The ECTS points assigned to each component of the UNIGIS professional Curriculum are given in the ‘Structure’. Participation in residential workshops is strongly encouraged.

Qualification
Upon completion of all the required components of the course, successful students will be awarded the academic qualification ‘UNIGIS Professional Diploma’ (Geographic Information Systems) by the Salzburg University, Austria.

Curriculum
The course is based on a modular structure including compulsory modules, electives, collaborative project, summer schools and workshops etc.

There is a possibility of interchange among electives, collaborative project, summer schools & workshops etc. depending upon the ECTS points allocated to each component.
