A thesis is the final compulsory part of the requirements for the completion of the UNIGIS MSc Programme. The thesis is a deliverable in which a student demonstrates her/his ability to independently address a spatial problem applying ‘state of the art’ GIScience methodology and presents the research outcomes in an understandable and scientific manner according to standards of academic writing.

The students submit a short write-up about the proposed topic as per the time schedule communicated by the Course Coordinator for the approval by the study board.

UNIGIS MSc. Thesis is completed under the guidance of a designated supervisor.
