UNIGIS@Goa University has designed 2 different fee structures for UNIGIS course participants.
Fee Structure-1:
This is applicable to the Resident Nationals of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
UNIGIS MSc.:
The fee structure for the 2 year MSc. course for the students admitted during 2009 is as follows:
· Total fees payable in a single instalment – INR ????/- (Indian Rupees ????) to be paid at the beginning of the course.
· Total fees payable in 2 annual installments – INR ????/- (Indian ????)
- First Installment – INR ????/- (Indian Rupees ????) to be paid at the beginning of the course.
- Second Installment – INR ????/- (Indian Rupees ????) to be paid at the beginning of Year-2 the course.
UNIGIS Professional Diploma:
The fee structure for the 1 year UNIGIS Professional Diploma course for the students admitted during 2009 is as follows:
· Total fees payable in a single instalment – INR ????/- (Indian Rupees ????) to be paid at the beginning of the course.
Fee Structure-2:
This is applicable to the NON-Resident Nationals of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives as well as the applicants from other countries.
UNIGIS MSc.:

UNIGIS Professional Diploma:

Costs incurred due to extension of the study period
The course fees are charged for the normal duration of the course and students have to complete their respective courses within this duration.
Ø 2 years (+3 Months grace period) for UNIGIS MSc. Programme
Ø 1 year (+3 Months grace period) for UNIGIS Professional Programme
In case students do not complete all the requirements of their course within this period, the course gets terminated at the completion of the normal duration and no further mentoring and assessment services are provided. However, students can continue their studies by applying for an extension in the study period for which students will have to pay an additional fee.
The additional fee for each calendar month is 15 % of the current applicable annual fees.
Additional costs
Additional costs incur to you due to
· Communication during the study time (e.g. fax, telephone, Internet)
· Purchase of hardware and software (see Study Environment for details)
· Software used in the compulsory modules is available to the students free of charge during the limited period of study time.
· Trips to an interview or consultancy during your study, workshops, summer schools, or UNIGIS update conferences
You may want to invest in buying essential (text) books or a dictionary, or attend a seminar on a topic of interest to you. Your UNIGIS student status will come in handy here as it entitles you to possible discounts on participation fee for seminars offered by UNIGIS partner institutions. Students also receive a 40% discount on all ESRI Virtual Campus modules; many of the Virtual Campus modules are already free for the UNIGIS students.
Financial Support
UNIGIS@Goa University has NO PROVISIONS for financial support to the course participants.
However, you may qualify for financial support through your employer, national agencies, or through various scholarships.
