A Master Thesis is the final part of the requirements for the completion of the MSc course. In the thesis a student shows his/her ability to independently address a problem applying state of the art methodology and presenting project outcomes in an understandable and scientific manner according to academic writing standards.

Definition of a thesis topic typically takes place at the course half-time and is subject to approval by study course leadership. Additional thesis supervision through an external expert in the respective field is recommended.
